The Government Fleet Expo & Conference runs June 15–18, 2027 at the Cobb Convention Center in Atlanta, GA. Here's everything you need to plan your trip, plus how to meet the RTA team at booth #1101.
About the event
GFX is the largest annual conference for public fleets in the U.S. Built by the team behind Government Fleet magazine, it brings fleet professionals together for four days of education sessions, keynotes, a Ride & Drive, and an Expo Hall of fleet suppliers.
New for 2027, the Work Truck, Metro, and Police conferences join Government Fleet in one event, so municipal, state, and federal fleets of every type share a single exhibit hall. This is the event's 19th year.

Who should attend
GFX is built for public fleets at the municipal, state, and federal levels, and in 2027 it adds dedicated conferences for work truck, metro, and police fleets. Here's what each group should focus on.
Fleet managers can join the Big Solutions Roundtable on Thursday morning, a peer-only session for trading fixes on EVs, telematics, safety, and more. Then compare fleet software side by side in the Expo Hall.
Use the breakout tracks on operations, technology, workforce, and sustainability, plus the Leading Fleets judges panel on Thursday, to benchmark your operation.
The Police conference is part of GFX in 2027. Pair it with the OEM Showcase on Tuesday afternoon and time with upfitters on the Expo Hall floor.
The Work Truck conference joins GFX this year. Start at the Block Party Ride & Drive on Tuesday to get hands-on with the newest vehicles.
The Metro conference brings transit-focused sessions into the same week, with the full Expo Hall open on Wednesday and Thursday.
Start with the First Timers' Orientation on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. to meet the organizers and other first timers and plan out your week.

Networking events
GFX hosts four official networking events during the week, all included with a full conference pass. Here's when and where.
A Ride & Drive kickoff in the Renaissance Waverly parking lot, with hands-on training stations, food trucks, games, and a DJ.

Wrap up day one with fleet peers right after the Honors Celebration.

An evening out in Atlanta with fellow attendees after the first full day of sessions and the Expo Hall.

Registration for GFX 2027 hasn't opened yet. When it does, one full conference pass covers the whole program, with nothing ticketed separately:
Hotels & travel
Everything you need to book your stay and get to the Cobb Convention Center.
The host hotel is attached to the Cobb Convention Center. Government per diem rates start at $131 a night plus tax (government ID required); the regular rate is $229.
The discounted block closes Monday, May 24, 2027, or sooner if it fills. Book through Marriott. GFX warns that outside companies offering block rooms aren't affiliated with the event.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is about 26 miles from the hotel. On-site parking is $35 a day; valet is $45.
