Tech Tip: How to Fix Windows Security Prompts in RTA

Are you getting a Windows security prompt when launching RTA, or when using our new notes and spellcheck features? We have a solution to help you remove these warnings.

By following these steps, you should be able to remove the prompt when starting RTA and using the Save and Exit and Save” buttons in the Notes tool.

First, use Windows Search to find “Internet Options” and launch it.

Then follow these steps:

  • Select the Security tab
  • Select Local Intranet
  • Click on Sites
  • Click on Advanced

Next, enter the server’s IP address or UNC path as it is displayed either in the warning pop-up, or in the shortcut that youse to launch the RTA system.

Lastly, go back into your fleet directory’s client folder in RTA and run SetupNetControls.exe.

Following these steps should resolve the issue.
