Q&A With Gina Baker, Director of Customer Success

We sat down with RTA’s newest leadership team member, Gina Baker. Gina is taking on a brand-new role at RTA as the Director of Customer Success. We asked Gina a few questions about her job, her previous experience, and some non-work questions to get to know her a little better.

What brought you to RTA?

The culture, the role, and the location! I was completely inspired by everything Josh shared during the interview process around the culture at RTA. I love Customer Success and creating opportunities for RTA and our customers to succeed. And my husband and I have been dreaming of moving to Arizona for a long time.

What is your role at RTA?

I am the Director of Customer Success, which means that I get to work closely with the Customer Success, Onboarding, and Training teams to manage customer outreach communications, implementations, and training.

What previous work experience did you have before RTA?

Before I joined RTA, I worked for an organization that did online training for the transportation industry as the Director of Customer Success. Our team handled everything from the initial onboarding through renewal. We worked closely with all departments in the organization to ensure the customers had what they needed.

How do you help fleets succeed?

We help fleets succeed by advocating for and educating customers. Our goal is to listen to what they need, how can we support them, and how can we create a partnership? It’s a win-win for both the organization and the customer.

Where is the best place you’ve vacationed?

My first cruise to Alaska. It was just myself and my husband and we had a fabulous time. We have cruised to Alaska two times. It’s beautiful. There’s lots to do and I love exploring new places. And being on the cruise ship is relaxing – everything you need is right there.

If you won the lottery, what would you buy first?

The first thing I would do is pay off my house. Then, I would buy electric bikes for myself and my husband.

Do you prefer cats or dogs?

Dogs. No cats, all dogs. Lol.

What’s your favorite cereal?

Cinnamon Toast Crunch, not only because the cereal is delicious but also, the milk left over is great as well. Or the ones that make the milk chocolate, like Count Chocula.

What’s your favorite non-work book?

The one that I really enjoyed was the Secret Life of Bees. I read the book and then saw the movie. Both were good in their own way, and I love seeing how books are interpreted on the big screen.

What’s your favorite sports team?

The New Orleans Saints.
