Top 10 Traits for Successful Fleet Managers

Between overseeing the shop, parts room, and drivers, managing a fleet operation requires a diverse skill set to perform the job successfully. Take a look at some of the traits fleet managers should possess to effectively run a fleet operation.

Ability to Multi-Task: Fleet managers are often the middleman between the shop and upper management. This means he or she must juggle the day-to-day tasks to get vehicles repaired and back on the roadways, while also helping the operation achieve long-term goals.

Flexibility: The daily needs at the operation may change often, and a fleet manager needs to adjust accordingly. He or she must address issues that pop up that need to be resolved as soon as possible.
