RTA Connect Speaker Spotlight: Steve Saltzgiver
Steve Saltzgiver is bringing his vast knowledge of the fleet industry to attendees of RTA Connect 2020. Saltzgiver, a Fleet Management Consultant with Mercury Associates, will discuss with attendees how key industry events are shaping the future of fleet management. He will present his thoughts during a keynote and during a Q&A session.
Prior to joining Mercury Associates, Saltzgiver served as a vice president of two Fortune 500 fleets, Coca-Cola and Republic Services. He was also a former director of two large state fleets in Utah and Georgia.
Saltzgiver has been recognized for his achievements in data analysis, benchmarking, cost reductions, sustainable fleet planning and telematics deployment. He has taught several workshops and best-practice seminars on a variety of fleet-industry topics throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe.
He has served on many organizations, including NAFA’s Board of Directors. Saltzgiver previously served as the NAFA Curriculum and Governmental Affairs Chair, RMFMA Board Chair, National Conference of State Fleet Administrators (NCSFA) Executive Director and President, and on various industry supplier boards.
Saltzgiver was twice nominated for Automotive Fleet magazine’s Manager of the Year award and is the recipient of the 2000 Honda Environmental Leadership (State Government) award, 2005 NCSFA Distinguished Service award and the 2015 Fleet Technology Expo Sustainable Fleet of the Year award. In 2017 he was inducted into the Government Fleet Hall of Fame and received the Legendary Lifetime Achievement Award for his career in fleet management.
