Tech Tip: Upgrade from Windows 7

Does your fleet operation have devices that are still running on Windows 7? If so, you will need to upgrade.

As of Jan. 14, Microsoft has officially stopped supporting Windows 7. While your computer will still run if it has this version of the operating system installed, Microsoft will no longer provide technical support for any issues, any software updates or any security updates or fixes. This means your device could be at greater risk for malware and viruses. To avoid these issues, Microsoft recommends upgrading to Windows 10.

Because of this change, RTA will also no longer support Windows 7. While your devices may still be able to run RTA in the interim, eventually SSL intermediate certificates will expire, or a security patch may be applied to our servers that will break Windows 7.

If you think the devices you use to access RTA are impacted by this change, we recommend talking to your IT team to look at options and timelines for upgrading.
